The drumbeat of bad news concerning newspapers has becomedeafening. (And the excuses for why they are failing ever more ridiculous, but that's another story.)
So it should be taken as a good omen that a Washington Post reporter found a coffee stain of the Virgin Mary on his desk.
And the guy's Jewish!
Shaun Mullen was born to blog. It just took a few years for the medium to catch up to the messenger. Over a long career with newspapers, this award-winning editor and reporter covered the Vietnam War, O.J. Simpson trials, Clinton impeachment circus and coming of Osama bin Laden, among many other big stories. Mullen also mentored reporters who went on to be the best in the newspaper and television business, including two who won Pulitzer Prizes in 2010.
